These chicken strips are a very easy and natural way to calm down my dog. When she gets anxious, she is 65 lbs of quivering and unmovable. But, if I give her a few of the mellow mutt chicken strips 10-15 mins. before a car ride, or a storm, she thinks she is getting a great treat and it does just as it implies...mellows. She sleeps better too. Thanks for such a wonderful antidote for my dog! I break them up into bite size chews...my dog tends to swallow big chunks and the strips are tough and hard, they get stuck in her throat. She loves the attention she gets when I give her the chunk by chunk treats! She knows the bag, when she sees it on the counter, she will sit and whine until she gets one. I cannot let her see me put the treats away or she will sit and whine at the cupboard where they are stored. I think she knows they make her feel better!

I came across these on Dogs.com years ago and they use to have a very slight lavender scent to them (even better). My dog absolutely loves them. They feels and look much fresher than most you purchase in retail / pet stores.
